You want to get the most out of your tweets? Get more followers? Increase your popularity?
To do all that become famous.... You don't have to be a good famous just look at Rebecca Black or Charlie Sheen they have followers a lot of followers and it isn't because they tweet a lot or get people to follow them and then they follow them back it is because they have been on the big screen! Well if you count YouTube as the big screen then yes... But they both have had some type of publicity...
You want to be popular on twitter and have over a thousand followers and more... Write amazing tweets, that get retweeted (by famous people) Or you could be ever annoying and keep mentioning that one famous star in your tweets and then they will eventually follow you because they see no other mentions by other people than yours. (Justin Bieber follows a lot of fans... He does not like being mentioned in tweets that block his mentions up and he retweets a lot) Say if you are followed by a famous person like, Justin Bieber, then other people will see this and follow you, you will then have over a thousand followers in no time. All of a sudden you will have random people mentioning you telling you how lucky you are and asking if Justin Bieber has direct messaged you yet or (DM'd) you..
Next, you want to attract attention to yourself not distract people from you so try tagging popular trends. Always look at the popular trends in your part of the world and then the worldwide trends, everyone is always looking at them and having a good read, write something interesting and funny that someone would like to read and possibly retweet to their followers. Again, bieber always seems to be trending...
Find new stuff! New songs on youtube! Copy the link and post it in your next tweet with the tag of that song, people love new music and always are looking for new songs and sometimes new artists to follow. Make friends on twitter, not buddy-buddy friends where you meet up all the time but friends who live in another country and share the same interests as you. Get them to do shout-outs for you to get more followers! Because in the end you want more followers then your best friend sitting next to you not that person in another country...
Follow all the stars! Mention all the stars! All of them nearly have twitter so get tweeting! Compliment them. Gossip about them. Do your research and find new things about them that everyone wants to hear... No one wants to hear that you're going to the beach with your best mate, they want to see a picture of Hugh Jackman at Bondi Beach and you took it! Jason Derulo loves having questions asked and he answers them (not all of them but some), DJ Havana Brown, loves hearing comments about you voting for her or buying her new single off of iTunes because she is new and an upcoming star!
